Hand knit shawls & blankets, blessed, and ready to provide comfort, encouragement & the confidence that God’s love is wrapped around us always, especially in time of need.
Our mission combines the sharing of talents and love of God in service to others in a tangible way that can touch the heart and warm the body of the receiver. The knitter/crocheter prays from beginning to end of each shawl, for a recipient, whether known or unknown. Prayers are with intention that this shawl will spread the message of God’s love, mercy and compassion. Prayer shawls are Blessed by our pastor, Father Piotr during a Holy Mass before they are given to anyone who may be in need of comfort and/or solace. The needs vary from illness to celebration and joy, from birth to death–and any occasion where someone could be touched by, and encouraged by someone’s caring, and the power of prayer.
